Dorion Design Studio can take an idea from a sketch to a manufactured product or help with any of the steps in between. With experience designing/developing hundreds of commercially successful products, we understand attractive aesthetics as well as the engineering and manufacturing that go into it. We know what it takes to make our clients’ products manufacturable and profitable.
The kitchen housewares industry is a major part of our portfolio but we also have experience with products for hospitality, food service, office supplies, hand tools, baby products, sporting goods, and bath accessories. We’ve worked with inventors, small companies, and large corporations both domestic and foreign.
We’ve designed and developed entire categories of products including the establishment of a design language for a brand. However, we also have collaborated with clients on product designs for existing brands. Services also include sketches/concept development, prototyping, 3D CAD, renderings, drawings/data for the factory, and patent drawings.

Chris Dorion
I am a creative and results-driven product designer. I have diverse experience focused in the housewares industry, with more than 20 years of successful product innovations and designs.
I have invented and created several product platforms that were industry firsts. My broad background includes work in commercial products and equipment, office products, kitchen electrics, bath, licensed merchandise and gourmet products from bakeware to kitchen gadgets.
I work well with teams or independently and enjoy all aspects of the product development process from research and design all the way to troubleshooting manufacturing issues with factories.
